Brian Malta settles disputes the old-fashioned way.
The 52-year-old Kiatone, N.Y. resident stands accused of firing the Civil War-era cannon that he conveniently owns at his neighbors' home. He has some sense, though: The cannon wasn't loaded, he simply used wadding and powder charges.
Authorities say Malta had a long-standing dispute with his neighbors, but wouldn't provide details. No one was injured, but Malta was arrested on Wednesday and charged with harassment and menacing.
