A man has been charged for his involvement in one of the many fires that ravaged San Diego County this week, officials say.
The Associated Press reports that Alberto Serrato, 57, was arrested this week after witnesses reported seeing him placing a dead brush on top of flaming bushes that were part of a 105-acre blaze in Oceanside, Calif. this week. According to San Diego County district attorney's office spokeswoman Tanya Sierra, Serrato has not been linked to any other fire.
Serrato pleaded not guilty yesterday and could face up to seven years in prison if convicted.
