UPDATED 2/10, 5:25 p.m. ET: Bob Saget’s autopsy report states that the late comedian had fractures in the back of his head and near his eyes when he died, People reports.

According to the Orange County Medical Examiner, Saget most likely fell and hit the back of his head prior to his death. He also had COVID-19 at the time of his death.

“Now that we have the final conclusions from the authorities’ investigation, we felt it only proper that the fans hear those conclusions directly from us,” the statement reads. “The authorities have determined that Bob passed from head trauma. They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep. No drugs or alcohol were involved.”

Saget was found dead in his room at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Orlando last month. Detectives immediately ruled out the possibility of drug use or foul play contributing to his death. He was 65.

The Full House star and former America’s Funniest Home Videos host posted a tweet about 12 hours before authorities were called to his room after his body was discovered by hotel security. He said he was “happily addicted” to stand-up following a two-hour set on the second day of back-to-back appearances to begin his I Don’t Do Negative tour.

Loved tonight’s show @PV_ConcertHall in Jacksonville. Appreciative audience. Thanks again to @RealTimWilkins for opening. I had no idea I did a 2 hr set tonight. I’m happily addicted again to this shit. Check for my dates in 2022.

Saget’s wife Kelly Rizzo shared a video on Instagram earlier today in remembrance of the late comedian. “One month without this incredible man. Bob truly lived life to its fullest,” she wrote in the caption. “He had so many hardships over the years that he would always tell me “look, life is hard, we need to enjoy it as much as possible.”

Rizzo said her and Saget bonded over “sharing and exploring amazing food around the world,” and the montage shows them at different restaurants or just as they are about to try some new cuisine.

Following the release of a family statement, the chief medical examiner for Orange and Osceola counties released his own statement, confirming the manner of death was accidental.

“In consideration of the circumstances surrounding the death and after examination of the body, toxicology analysis, histology, and a respiratory pathogen panel, it is my opinion that the death of Mr. Saget, was the result of blunt head trauma,” Chief Medical Examiner Joshua Stephany said Thursday, per WESH. “His injuries were most likely incurred from an unwitnessed fall. A toxicology analysis did not reveal any illicit drugs or toxins.”
