After making headlines for it's CEO's public statements against same-sex marriage, Chick-fil-A is now drawing attention for a former employee's gender discrimination lawsuit. Brenda Honeycutt is suing the fast food chain for wrongful termination, as the lawsuit claims that the owner of a Duluth, Georgia Chick-fil-A fired Honeycutt so that she could remain a "stay at home mother."
Honeycutt was replaced with a male employee, even though Honeycutt's job performance was "satisfactory-to-above satisfactory." The lawsuit also claims that Honeycutt is but one of several female Chick-fil-A employees who were discriminated against in Georgia.
Yeah, when you're already under fire for discriminatory remarks, a discrimination lawsuit is probably not going to help things.
