Despite reports that he might be leaving the show at the end of the season, Andy Samberg is still delivering some of SNL’s highlights on a weekly basis. And this past Saturday, Samberg and Bill Hader were joined by “The Bearded One” himself, Steven Spielberg, in a new Digital Short as the director tried to push "Laser Cats 7" on series creator, Lorne Michaels.
Although it lacks Spielberg’s usual mammoth budget, we must say that "Laser Cats 7" is still far more entertaining than what the director has put out over the past five years. And even though this isn’t the best SNL Digital Short to come from the mind of Samberg and Hader, it’s always great to see one of cinema’s masters poke a little fun at himself.
