No matter what you thought of Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, the fact that the movie took in more than $400 million worldwide basically guaranteed the sci-fi prequel would see another installment. Now, according to The Daily Mail, sources have confirmed that Scott is indeed prepping for the sequel’s production by scouting filming locations in Australia.
Fox has a studio lot in Sydney, Australia, which is likely where a majority of the filming would take place, but there are also plenty of places for on-location shooting in Australia. The site is also reporting that there is a rumor going around that Scott is also looking at a deal to also shoot Blade Runner 2 in Australia in early 2015. The man is not slowing with age.
Prometheus 2 has a scheduled release date of March 4, 2016.
