UPDATED 11/11, 2:23 p.m. ET: Kel Mitchell gave fans another update on his recent health scare, this time in an Instagram video recorded at his home earlier this week.

The actor described the incident in more detail, saying he felt the room spinning while shopping on Nov. 7. At first he believed he was simply dehydrated and thought some food and a beverage would help. “When I did that, the whole right side of my arm and my leg was numb, followed by me not being able to swallow, and that’s when I panicked,” he said in the clip before revealing he drove himself to the hospital in a state of panic.

Upon arriving at the emergency room, Mitchell underwent several tests, including a CT scan and EKG, after failing an arm and leg mobility test. “What we feared wasn’t what it was. It was actually a bulging disc I had from a prior injury that was pressing up against the nerve mimicking all those symptoms that I was going through,” the 45-year-old added.

Mitchell thanked his fans for their prayers and comments as well as acknowledging the support from his family. Towards the end of the clip, Mitchell shared that with the SAG-AFTRA strike over, he can now focus on promoting Good Burger 2, which is set to premiere on Nov. 22 on Paramount+.
