First Kim Kardashian made her relationship with Pete Davidson Instagram official. Now she’s making it talk show official.
In a sit down with Ellen DeGeneres to promote her new Hulu show The Kardashians, Kim opened up about her relationship, and her recent decision to post photos together with Pete on Instagram.
“I guess it’s not official until you post on Instagram,” Kim said in the clip above. She noted that she wanted to be careful about posting too many photos of them, and explained that the last time she dated was “before Instagram existed” and she doesn’t know “what the rules are” yet.
Kim also talked about the tattoos Davidson got in her honor, as well as the branding of her name on his chest. “Yeah, he has a few tattoos, a few cute ones that he got,” she said. “But the ‘Kim’ one isn’t a tattoo, it’s actually a branding because he wanted to do something that was really different. … That’s what tattoo people do, right? They get tattoos of what’s going on in their life.”
She went on to explain that one of her favorite tattoos he got for her is one that reads “my girl is a lawyer,” indicating it’s around his collarbone area.
In her recent Variety cover story, Kim said she would reveal more about the inner workings of her relationship with Davidson in the Hulu series. “You’ll just have to see, but I’m always open and honest and I’ll never not be, so you’ll definitely get that honesty and openness when it comes to the relationship that I’m in,” she said. “I definitely explain how we met and who reached out to who and how it happened and all the details that everyone wants to know. I’m definitely open to talking, and I definitely explain it.”
Davidson allegedly contacted Kanye West to have a conversation with the artist and end their beef for the benefit of Kim and the kids. In the alleged texts, Pete said he’s “done being quiet” and asked for West to respect their relationship.
“Can you please take a second and calm down. It’s 8am and it don’t gotta be like this. Kim is literally the best mother I’ve ever met,” Davidson reportedly wrote. “What she does for those kids is amazing and you are so fucking lucky that she’s your kids mom. I’ve decided I’m not gonna let you treat us this way anymore and I’m done being quiet. Grow the fuck up.”
This didn’t go over well, with West sharing his thoughts about Pete in multiple posts on Instagram that have since been deleted.
The Kardashians is set to hit Hulu on April 14, 2022.
