The generally "simple" Google.com search page will be receiving a mild makeover over the next couple of days with the roll out of a new Google+ birthday reminder feature.
Google's Irene Chung discussed the new update on her Google+ page:
Do you think this is a good update for Google+? It's similar to Facebook's birthday reminders but doesn't require you to login to the social network. But how often do you really conduct searches from the Google homepage? If you do it a lot, then this update will streamline reminders with an everyday activity.
