While there were many memorable moments and lines on The Wire, there is one word that stands above all others:
Isiah Whitlock Jr.—who played Clay Davis, the master of “sheeeeeeeeeit”—released a trailer a couple weeks ago for his Whitlock Academy, a “school” in which he helps aspiring actors and actresses learn the craft of the perfect “sheeeeeeeeeit.” There are so many rules to learn; for example, you have to really feel all nine Es in “sheeeeeeeeeit.” What does “feeling it” mean? If someone has to explain it to you, you’re doing it wrong.
It’s a valuable, noble service, and quite frankly it should go from being a web series to an actual school. Think about the prestige points you’ll win if you tell someone you go to “The Whitlock Academy.” That’s instant credibility, anywhere.
