Chris Evans isn’t ready to give up his most noteworthy job any time soon.
In an interview with MTV, Evans basically told the world that they could pry Captain America’s shield from his cold, dead fingers. “Who’s handing off the shield? Don’t take my job from me prematurely, dude,” he said. “I got a few more movies that I have to finish first, which I’m happy to do. I’m sure it’ll happen at some point, all good things have to come to an end. But I’m really happy playing the character.”
It makes plenty of sense for Evans to stick with Marvel as long as he can. The role of Captain America has not only made him a rich man, but has saved him from a lifetime of being known only as the guy from the horrific 2005 and 2007 Fantastic Four movies that were bad enough for the franchise to already be rebooted.
