'Avengers: Endgame' Breaks $2 Billion at Box Office

'Avengers: Endgame' has become the second-highest grossing movie of all time, beating 'Titanic.'

Avengers: Endgame has become the second-highest grossing movie of all time after bringing in $2.189 billion, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Endgame has eclipsed James Cameron’s Titanic, which has earned an accumulative $2.187 billion. In its second weekend, Endgame earned $145.8 million stateside and $282.2 million overseas.

The only film Endgame sits behind is Cameron’s Avatar with $2.8 million at the worldwide box office. Endgame is only one of five movies to cross the $2 billion threshold, accomplishing it in record time with its eleventh day of release. Other titles in the club Disney’s The Force Awakens and Avengers: Infinity War.

Endgame has achieved a few more feats. Before its second weekend, the film broke the record for highest-grossing week of all-time, scoring $562 million at the global box office from Monday to Thursday. It has also become the ninth-highest earner domestically, reaching the $620 million mark.

After a record-breaking opening, Endgame box office sales declined by 55 perfect during its second weekend. That’s still a stronger hold than other Marvel titles, such as Avengers: Infinity War (61 percent) and Captain America: Civil War (59 percent).
