Production for Atlanta season 3 has reportedly been postponed.

According to Deadline, the Donald Glover series is among a handful of FX original programs that have been postponed over coronavirus concerns. The other shows are anthology series Fargo, Snowfall season 4, and the new comic book series Y: The Last Man. Deadline reports production for these series will be suspended for at least two weeks.

Season 3 of Atlanta is expected to premiere sometime in 2021, about three years after the sophomore season aired. On Thursday, the show's executive producer Stephen Glover seeming responded to the recent postponement, tweeting: "Y'all ain't ever getting season 3 of Atlanta." After letting fans worry for a few hours, he returned to Twitter to admit he might've been overreacting.

The coronavirus outbreak has taken a significant toll on the TV industry. A growing number of shows have either shut down or delayed production in recent weeks, citing concerns over the spread of the deadly disease. These programs include reality series like The Amazing Race, American Ninja Warrior, and The Bachelorette, as well as scripted series, including The Flash, Grey's Anatomy, NCSI, Stranger Things, and Riverdale

On Friday, President Donald Trump declared a national state of emergency in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Speaking to reporters in the Rose Garden, Trump said the move will free up about $50 billion in emergency funding to assist "our shared fight against the disease."
