Even conservatives hate Donald Trump. Following his sexist comments about Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly, Trump was uninvited to speak at a gathering of conservative activists this weekend. Event organizer Erik Erikson, a conservative commentator, told the Washington Post that he uninvited Trump because, "I'm not going to have a guy on stage with my wife and daughter in the crowd who thinks a tough question from a woman is because of hormones."

After the first GOP debate, Trump told CNN that moderator Megyn Kelly had "blood coming out of her wherever" while she asked him difficult questions. He later tweeted that he meant her nose, duh, but Erikson wasn't having it.

I didn’t think it was a genuine clarification. So, I sent him an e-mail and said, ‘I’m sorry to have to do this, but I consider you disinvited. I think the comment was inappropriate.'

Erikson says that plenty of conservatives have called and emailed to thank him for axing Trump. He also says that he's invited Kelly to take Trump's vacant speaking slot — talk about payback.

UPDATE, Aug. 8, 2015, 5:01 ET: Trump's campaign has released a statement saying it was "an honor" to be uninvited from Erikson's event, and anyone who doesn't think he was talking about Kelly's nose is "a deviant." He blames the whole situation on Erikson's desire to be "so politically correct" and promises supporters that he'll "catch them at another time soon." Typical.
