Wanna See a "Hateful Eight" Trailer? You Might Have to Check Out "Sin City 2"

Evidence suggests that the first teaser trailer for "The Hateful Eight" by Quentin Tarantino might be shown before "Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill."

Movies blog Slashfilm has gathered some promising evidence that a teaser trailer for Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight is going to be shown before screenings of Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill.

Of course Tarantino hasn't even started shooting his eight movie yet, as far as anyone knows, but Slashfilm says multiple movie theater employees have contacted them to say the trailer is attached to Sin City 2, which comes out Aug. 22. On top of that, Weinstein Company distribution info suggests that a Hateful Eight trailer with a running time of 1:47 will be sent out to theaters with Sin City.

Hateful Eight "follows the steadily ratcheting tension that develops after a blizzard diverts a stagecoach from its route, and traps a pitiless and mistrustful group which includes a competing pair of bounty hunters, a renegade Confederate soldier, and a female prisoner in a saloon in the middle of nowhere," according to the official synopsis.

So what exactly is going to appear in a trailer for a movie that hasn't started shooting yet? No idea, but Tarantino isn't one to screw around, so we'll trust him on this. We know he hosted a live read of the script featuring Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Tim Roth and Bruce Dern, so there's a possibility he'll use something from that. Or maybe he has shot something already?

One huge thing to note, the Weinstein Company info says that the trailer will not be posted online, at least for now, which means you may have to buy a ticket and actually go to the theater.

Or maybe it will leak, and Tarantino will be pissed off like he was when the Hateful Eight script leaked and he sued Gawker for linking to it and said there was no he was making the movie. Hopefully not. We can't handle another episode like that.

The Hateful Eight is set for a December 2015 release.
