Guy Behind the "I Made A Mistake I Bought a Jeep" Rap Video Turns Down $60k Settlement

Jeep offers unhappy customer a full $60,000 refund on his faulty Grand Cherokee after rap video clocks 2 million views.

After publicly airing his issues with a faulty car, Melbourne's Teg Sethi has been offered a full refund on the cost of his $60,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee – and turned it down.

The guy behind the terrible "I Made A Mistake I Bought A Jeep" video, which flips Red Foo's also terrible "New Thang" has been the public face of consumer complaints after his video clocked up over 2 million views. The company behind Jeep, FIAT Chrysler Automobiles, have said that while they don't agree with all of Teg's complaints about the car, they are willing to offer a full refund of $60,000 to put the matter behind them.

Sethi has refused the offer, due to a clause in the settlement requiring the amateur rapper to stop “disparaging” the brand.

Sethi penned a (rhyming) letter to explain himself, which he has uploaded to his Facebook page.

It's not every day a car company will give you a full refund on anything. Is he crazy for knocking back the money, or are you rollin' with Teg while he keeps talking smack about Jeep?
