Whether you're a jaded core gamer or a fan of all the memorable Nintendo franchises you likely grew up with, Nintendo Land is an interesting spin on traditional mini-game collections. Sure, the Wii U title may not be showcasing any breakthrough technology we've not seen before, but it's an admirable attempt at gathering some of our favorite characters and licenses into one handy little package. And admit it -- Luigi, Donkey Kong, Link, and the Animal Crossing gang are tasty additions to a roster of twelve we think are going to be pretty sweet. Until we see a little more of Nintendo Land, we've actually got a few ideas of our own we've been kicking around: 10 Games We Want To See In Nintendo Land in addition to the ones already revealed.

StarFox Dogfighting
Game Franchise: StarFox 64
We know the recent re-release whet everyone's appetites for more Fox McCloud. Why not include an arcade-style dogfighting minigame where Fox and the rest of his crew do barrel rolls for points? Simplistic mechanics, ring mode, and additional augments would make it feel more like a carnival game, and that's exactly the aesthetic we're going for here. It's probably not going to happen, but how sweet would that be? Not as good as a brand new StarFox, but you get the picture.
Pikmin Dash
Game Franchise: Pikmin
How often do you long for an excuse to spend time with the impossibly adorable Pikmin? Pikmin Dash plots the dimunitive creatures against each other for once in a button-mashing race against the clock. It'd be an interesting change of pace to see them in an element we're not used to for once, and any excuse to squeeze in more Pikmin is okay by us.
Tom Nook's Sell-Off
Game Franchise: Animal Crossing
Who hasn't been suckered into purchasing something they didn't really want from Tom Nook and his domineering, empty grin? Oh, that's right. No one. But the tables have turned and Tom's shop is going bankrupt! In order to stay afloat in these trying times, Nook has to sell off a good lot of store items. Players assume the role of Nook, and pass out items to approaching customers, Diner Dash style. Think about it. How satisfying is emptying Nook's stock? Thank us later.
Princess Peach's Parasol Peril
Game Franchise: Super Princess Peach
Peach is plummeting through the sky of Mushroom Kingdom and she's got no Mario around to save her. After Bowser drops her from some paralyzing heights, Peach's only means of surviving her imminent death is her parasol. In the spirit of Super Princess Peach, this game would let players steer Peach through aerial obstacles like ParaTroopas and other airborne threats, while a team of Toad villagers wait below with an enormous air cushion.
Shy Guy Shuffle
Game Franchise: Mario Party
Everyone who's ever played Mario Party knows that Shy Guys have a thing for cheating to win otherwise fair competitions. A mini-game where only Shy Guys must participate in a synchronous samba through Mario-themed landscapes, all players working together to keep in rhythm, would make a cool diversion from point-and-click shooting and navigating mazes. And it'd be true to source material, too -- there's no way Shy Guys should have won all of those competitions before.
Samus' Tuck and Roll
Game Franchise: Metroid
So, maybe it doesn't have to go by that name, but imagine a lighthearted Monkey Ball-esque game where Samus in morph ball form is tilted around several Metroid-themed courses to specific goals. Chibi Meta-Ridleys and adorable Metroids swimming around in the background? Yes please. And we'll probably want to steer clear of any thumbs-up imagery. You know, for obvious reasons.
WarioWare, Inc. - Downsized
Game Franchise: WarioWare, Inc
The WarioWare series is already ingenious on its own. Not including a nod to this fast and frantic set of microgames would be a heinous act. We're thinking a minigame that finds players throwing nets over escaping stars from the WarioWare games as they make their way out of Wario's reach on an enormous luxury liner. It'd be an excellent way to showcase the memorable characters and microgames as well as good use of the Wii U's technology.
Kirby Crane Game
Game Franchise: Kirby's Dreamland
You're probably familiar with the bonus game played in Kirby's Dreamland, in which the goal was to grab the biggest Kirby for a bigger bonus via crane. It was quite tricky, and required a good amount of skill as well as a few elements of luck, but it was oh-so-satisfying once you managed to grab a sizeable bonus. This attraction could take that same idea and make it a little bigger with various other items for players to pick up: in-game prizes, other characters, and even items that detract from your score. It's simple, and it's been done before, but it just works.
Pokemon Snap: Redux
Game Franchise: Pokemon Snap
Pokemon Snap was a great experience in itself. Why not revive it for the sole purpose of attracting more players to Nintendo Land? A WarioWare-like overhaul of the classic point-and-shoot Pokemon safari game would be a welcome addition. Aim via controller, and snap as many photos of each Pokemon (current generation, of course) as possible within a certain time limit. Points may be deducted for Team Rocket or protagonist photos. Plus, you'd have HD renderings of each new monster. Who'd pass that up?
Snake Pit
Game Franchise: Kid Icarus
With the recent surge in popularity of the Kid Icarus franchise, it'd only make sense to include Pit in a frenzied fight to pick off advancing snakes with arrows while collecting power-ups and dodging breakable pots that do about one heart's worth of damage. It would feature new and old arrangements from the original Kid Icarus up to Kid Icarus: Uprising, awarding high scores with concept art and possibly a Pit trophy, poised with a bow and arrow.
