Toyota Need a Nudge ComplexCon Community Week

Every November, ComplexCon takes over the Long Beach Convention Center for a weekend of exclusive drops, talent workshops, fine food, and performances from the biggest artists in the world. And this year will be no different. But what some people don’t know is that before the ComplexCon lights go on starting the morning of Saturday November 19, Complex has been in Long Beach putting in work to uplift the community for a full week. In fact, that’s the sole purpose of Complex’s Community Week, which has hosted job fairs, educational seminars on health and eating, and more.

And when you’re pumping out the positivity and doing good things, people want to get involved to help out. That’s why Toyota is proud to join ComplexCon’s Community Week, where it will continue to spread the good will of a Nudge. Nudge is a campaign that is nudging Black content makers forward by providing a “Creator Studio,” an immersive mobile workshop designed to elevate the content and social footprint of those who use it, including jeweler Dominique Renee, fashion label Brownstone, and Crenshaw Skate Club. At Community Week, Renee, Brownstone, and Crenshaw Skate Club will all host Creator Workshops for local young people at Long Beach Poly in the days leading up to ComplexCon. After each session, attendees will then be able to head outside to visit the Toyota Tundra AVT Airstream for more creative education.

Then, the following weekend, Renee, Brownstone, and Crenshaw Skate Club will all be working with Toyota again at ComplexCon. Here, each creator will pop up to help facilitate sessions at the Toyota booth, where visitors can learn jewelry making, screenprinting, and embroidery, all with the option to take what they’ve made home as a one-of-a-kind keepsake.

See you there!
