Someone out there is so desperate for a new Call of Duty game that they started a website counting down to the release of the next Modern Warfare title. Sounds harmless, right? The problem is, Activision hasn't announced a new CoD game yet. “There seems to be a great deal of speculation about the next Call of Duty project," said an Activision spokesperson. "Let me be clear that we are not revealing yet. Anything indicating otherwise is a hoax." With all the litigation surrounding the MW franchise, Activision will no doubt be getting product to the market to get that paper—and we still wouldn't be surprised if there was a reveal at GDC this week—but FPS stans are just gonna have to pump their brakes for the time being.
