Deadline’s Anthony D’Alessandro wrote, “I hear that principal photography just wrapped on the movie and the release date change provides the filmmakers more time in post.”

The announcement arrives more than a year and a half after John Wick: Chapter 4 was pushed back from its May 2021 release date to May 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Alongside Reeeves, John Wick: Chapter 4 stars Donnie Yen, former Matrix co-star Laurence Fishburne, Bill Skarsgård, Ian McShane, and more. Michael Finch and Shay Hatten wrote the screenplay. The film is produced by Stahelski, Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee. Reeves and Louise Rosner are executive producing.

The franchise’s first three entries have earned $584.7 million worldwide at the box office.
