It's been over two years since HBO aired the first season of its star-studded drama series, Big Little Lies, and now we finally have a premiere date for Season two. To coincide with the news of the June 9 premiere, HBO also shared the first trailer for the second season, giving viewers their first look at Meryl Streep's character Mary Louise Wright.

Returning cast members Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Zoe Kravitz, and Laura Dern all make appearances in the all-too-brief teaser, which offers insight into what drama will follow the cast in the new season. We see Woodley's Jane learning about the new nickname her and the other four women have been given. "Monterey Five, like the way he said it you know? Like we all have scarlet letters on our backs," she says.

Referring to the death that capped off the first season, Streep's Mary Louise Wright says, "I want to know what happened that night. I'm very tempted to ask you but I, I don't think I would get the truth, would I?" News of Streep joining the second season first broke last January, and from the look of the teaser, she's out for blood.

Executive producer David E. Kelley recently teased that the new season will "drill down" on the lie those five told on that night. watch the teaser up top.
