Just a day after Chris Brown fell for an online hoax about an “artificial sun,” Reese Witherspoon has swiftly snatched the title for most interesting tweet of the week.

The Little Fires Everywhere star took to social media on Tuesday to share her thoughts on the world of NFTs and digital identity, which she believes is going to see all types of digital goodies as “the norm” in the future.

In the (near) future, every person will have a parallel digital identity. Avatars, crypto wallets, digital goods will be the norm. Are you planning for this?

“In the (near) future, every person will have a parallel digital identity,” Witherspoon wrote to her 2.9 million Twitter followers. “Avatars, crypto wallets, digital goods will be the norm. Are you planning for this?”

Witherspoon didn’t elaborate on her most recent tweet, but has previously shared posts to help her followers understand crypto terminology. She’s also pushed NFT lines in the past, such as World of Women.

“For all asking, #NFTs are just digital goods,” she wrote in December. “Your kids understand this because of Roblox or Minecraft. The sale of digital goods will be more important as we evolve to have more digital access to music, art and entertainment.”

Plenty of Twitter users took the actress/producer’s latest tweet as a chance to crack jokes about her love of NFTs, and many ultimately answered the question she posed. Check out some of the more comical responses below.

No Reese Witherspoon I am not planning on spending my life’s savings on a jpeg of a monkey https://t.co/LhQtTalW6L

For people just discovering it, yes, Reese Witherspoon's account has been tweeting about crypto and NFTs for awhile now. I blocked her a ways back. We can all assume some crypto company paid to have access to her account. And she's fine with that.

i choose to see reese as an oracle like the ones in greek mythology where she has no recollection of saying this, merely being a vehicle for some transmission/warning from the heavens https://t.co/63SZj0rKie
