America and the Internet are a match made in heaven. Dylann Roof, the man responsible for the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Churchmassacre in Charleston, S.C., apparently ruined his sister's wedding. Amber Roof was supposed to marry Michael Tyo on June 21, 2015. However, due to unforeseen circumstances they had to cancel the wedding. So she decided to start a GoFundMe page in order to recoup some of the bread they spent.

Her reasoning:

"We cancelled [sic] our wedding to protect our family and mourn the lives of those lost. Many friends and family  members came into town and took time off of work to be there for us. We could not ask you to do that again...Money raised will be used to cover lost wedding costs, to pay bills, and to send us on our dream honeymoon. 10% of all funds raised will be donated to Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church. We thank you for any contrabution [sic] you can make."

I am not going to criticize her for doing this. It's unfortunate that they couldn't enjoy their day because of Amber's piece of shit brother, and they are donating . But, I do understand why people would be offended by this. One commenter said:

"This has to be the most self-centered and insensitive fundraising page I’ve ever encountered and I’m shocked that gofundme hasn’t erased you from their existence already! I can’t imagine the anguish and sorrow that your own brother has inflicted on so many wonderful and kind people and all the while, you are fantasizing about letting others fund your honeymoon!!”

And apparently, the negative comments have won. While we were drafting this up, we realized that Amber's GoFundMe page has been taken down.

They lost out on about $1600. They were hoping for $5,000. Bummer.
