It’s common practice to use your smartphone on the go. That's what it's made for. Chances are you’re texting, tweeting, posting an image on Instagram, or responding to an email while being completely oblivious to what’s happening around you. Just ask teen Alexa Longeira, who fell down a manhole because she was responding to an text message. Longeria was just one of several people who have humiliated themselves by not paying attention while texting. However, she dodged a bullet as the incident was never caught on camera. Cathy Cruz Marrero claims she was texting a friend from church and felt safe multitasking before face-flopping into a mall water fountain. “I couldn't see anything that I could grab. Next thing I know I'm seeing pennies and coins in front of my face," she said. Find that comical? Marrero decided to sue the mall stating security guards laughed rather than assist her out of the fountain. We would have done the same.
