Social media has made it simple for fans to monitor, follow, and communicate with their favorite stars. Sadly, it’s also used as a way for people to send celebrities vile and life-threatening comments. Just this week Kim Kardashian, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Taylor Swift were all bombarded with disturbing tweets. While all three were subjected to numerous "I hope you die" and "Die [insert celeb name here] Die!!!" remarks, Swift stood as the loner to receive a direct death threat. And though you may think numerous celebs have experienced the same ordeal, realistically, only a few have been seriously threatened on the microblogging service. Take a look at the 10 Celebrities Who've Received Serious Death Threats On Twitter.
Scott Baio
Date: Jan. 20, 2010
Twitter threat: "A grand wizard like you Scott Baio should be put down and someone will put you down. You, your wife and kid. Easy to find your house Scotty boy and finish you."
The Twitterverse went HAM on Chachi after he posted an unflattering photo of Michelle Obama with the comment: 'Wow - he (Barack Obama) wakes up to this every morning.” Democrats weren't too thrilled with the comment and accused the actor of being a racist. One guy went a step further and sent chilling messages implying he would execute him and his family. Baio reported the anonymous pester to Twitter and had the FBI investigate the matter ASAP.

Twitter threat: "@selenagomez stay away from Justin pedophile, retard wait i’m gonna kill ya in the night underneath your smelly bed."
Being the Bieb's main squeeze marks you Public Enemy No.1. Disney princess and pop star Selena Gomez knows it all to well. During the couple’s romantic retreat to St. Lucia, make-out photos of the two surfaced online which led to an onslaught of hate messages directed towards the young starlet. After some jabbing back and forth, the conversation took a disturbing turn when the troll threatened to murder the swimmer in a pool. Cold world.

Twitter threat: "@quietstorm_32 its your fault you punkass bitch....if I ever see you in NY...I'm shootin ya lil bitchass"
Once the Chicago Bulls found themselves out of the first round in the 2012 NBA Playoffs, fans took out their frustration on guard C.J. Watson for passing the rock to teammate Omer Asik, who missed two free throws and cost the team the game. The death threats weren't even the craziest things said to Watson. Some tweets were wild offensive, such as: “I hope someone smacks you with a bag of Magic Johnson blood!!!!!”
Ellen Page

Twitter threat: "I'm going to murder Ellen Page. She's dead…Ellen Page if you continue to date Alexander I will K-1-L-L you in public in the next year."
A psychopath obsessed on killing the Oscar-nominated actress began tweeting twisted messages at her saying that she should stop dating True Blood star Alexander Skarsgard or else. Page turned to the LAPD and an investigation was opened, where it was discovered that two accounts were being used to menace the Inception star. No projections here, kiddo. The tweets have since been removed.
President Barack Obama
Date: Sept. 3, 2012
Twitter threat: "Ima hit president Obama with that Lee Harvey Oswald swagg...Well Ima Assassinate president Obama this evening !...Gotta get this monkey off my chest while he's in town."
If you’re claiming to reenact the country’s most infamous presidential assassination, you better be ready to get a call from the alphabet boys. North Carolina native Donte Jamar Sims proved he wasn't built for that after the Feds snatched him up for making such bold and life-threatening threats against President Obama via Twitter. His excuse: Smoking on that loud. A sworn affidavit reported Sims laughed when a Secret Service agent read his five tweets out loud. The idiot was charged with a felony.
Joshua Morgan
Date: Sept. 18, 2012
Twitter threat: "@FeetzMorgan202 You should be cut. I swear to god if I ever see you in te DMV I will murder you you [bleeping] peice of [bleep], I WILL KILL YOU”
Some football fans take their love of the game way too seriously. Take Twitter user @John_Aye1 for instance. Dude tore into Washington Redskin’s receiver, Joshua Morgan, for gaining an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty that cost his team 15 yards—resulting in a missed 62-yard field goal attempt. Harsh words were shared. Another follower under the handle @TroobAdore even wished harm upon the player’s firstborn: “I hope someone throws a football at ur firstborn child.”
Pixie Geldof
Date: Sept. 19, 2012
Twitter threat: "I HATE YOU BITCH FUCK I'll kill you."
The British model and socialite felt the wrath of One Direction fans on Twitter after being spotted leaving a club with the group's lead singer Harry Styles. Death seemed certain through the eyes of a few stark raving fans. Turns out Styles’ following had targeted the wrong woman. The teen sensation was actually at the club to support Styles' real girl friend Cara Delevigne at a Burberry show during London Fashion Week. Poor Pixie.
Erin Andrews
Date: Oct. 12, 2012
Twitter threat: "@ErinAndrews I will kill you next time. And fold your face more."
ESPN sportscaster Erin Andrews is no stranger to death threats, but her most recent altercation is certainly the most rattling. A harasser under the Twitter handle @hyuncmartinez shot over 20 hateful tweets in Andrews’ direction as she was about to cover Game 7 of the NLCS. Rumor has it security was ramped up at the ballpark to ensure her safety. It’s unknown why the heckler targeted the TV personality.
Taylor Swift
Date: Nov. 19, 2012
Twitter threat: "You're a f***ing ugly bitch. I want to stab you to death and play around with your blood."
Truth be told, Taylor Swift can’t catch a break in the love department. If she’s not engaged in an emotional breakup, then she’s catching serious shade from her rumored partner’s insane fans. After performing on The X-Factor, co-host Mario Lopez opened the floodgates saying he saw the singer and One Directon’s Harry Styles “walking off hand in hand.” The above threat followed, along with numerous others. Knowing any diehard OD fan, the above message shouldn’t be taken lightly. AC Slater...always starting something.
