Bella Thorne has come a long way since Shake It Up. The former Disney Channel star has recently announced that she will make her directorial debut via Pornhub.
Thorne revealed her upcoming Him & Her movie on Pornhub's Behind the Scenes YouTube series. "What inspired me to make the movie was basically thinking about this relationship between a male and a female, and this fight over dominance and how much that relates to us in our general world besides in a sexual scenario," Thorne says at the beginning of the video.
This concept led her to seek adult entertainers Abella Danger and Small Hands who Thorne believes will be able to switch between being dominant and submissive for the sake of the storyline.
"Her & Him is a modernistic, sexually explicit Romeo and Juliet-like depiction of two star-crossed lovers who have unbridled sexual longing for each other," Pornhub's vice president Corey Price said to the New York Post. He then went on to praise the "creativity and imagination" of Thorne's movie.
In the movie's trailer, Hands sees "how to kill my boyfriend and get away with it" in a search engine on Danger's phone. He's then consumed with the thought that Danger is trying to kill him, leading to what seems like a power struggle over a knife. Originally, Thorne claims she wanted Him & Her to be a Christmas horror movie but it turned into "a beautiful, ethereal film."
Although she's already shed the skin she wore during her Disney days, Thorne admits that the atmosphere on the set of an adult film was a new experience. "The process of shooting was quite interesting because we had real life fucking on set, which I had never shot before at all," Thorne said around the video's one minute mark. "It is quite a fun environment."
While some may see porn in a negative light, Thorne views the genre as just another medium to tell a story. "If you think that porn is uncomfortable, I’m sorry that you are uncomfortable," Thorne continued. "But don’t make other people feel uncomfortable for being okay with it."
Him & Her will debut next month at Germany's Oldenburg Film Festival. It will then become available to Pornhub Premium subscribers.
