It's easy to forget, 20 some-odd years on, that Tupac Shakur helped put Jada Pinkett Smith in her first major film role. The longtime friend of Smith suggested her to the Hughes brothers when he was still attached to Menace II Society. Given the role he played in her life, it's easy to see why Jada still regularly thinks about the late rapper.

She said that she thinks about Tupac every day in a new interview with MTV.

“There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think about Pac,” she said after telling how Tupac connected her with the movie and convinced her to stay on after he dropped out. “I think about him every single day.”

Jada has been remarkably open about almost all aspects of her life since she launched her Red Table Talk series. She's shared her addiction to porn, given peeks into her marriage with Will Smith, and opened up about threesomes on the show where it's expected for guests to be equally open. In a similar vein, she revealed that she was a drug dealer when she first met Tupac during a recent interview on Sway in the Morning.

Following the release of the 2017 biopic All Eyez On Me, Jada gave a bunch of information about her relationship with Tupac to Twitter followers to counter the narrative of the film.

Forgive me... my relationship to Pac is too precious to me for the scenes in All Eyez On Me to stand as truth.

Pac never said goodbye to me before leaving for LA. He had to leave abruptly and it wasn't to pursue his career.

The reimagining of my relationship to Pac has been deeply hurtful.
