HBO has released a trailer for Game of Thrones: The Last Watch, a documentary that will follow the cast and production crew throughout the making of the final season. Directed by Jeanie Finlay, the film is scheduled to premiere one week after the series' conclusion.

The network said the doc "delves deep into the mud and blood to reveal the tears and triumphs involved in the challenge of bringing the fantasy world of Westeros to life in the very real studios, fields and car-parks of Northern Ireland." Rather than a simple behind-the scenes look (the show has released a number of those throughout the season) HBO says The Last Watch is a "funny, heartbreaking story, told with wit and intimacy, about the bittersweet pleasures of what it means to create a world—and then have to say goodbye to it."

The Last Watch will also feature footage from the final table read of the series. Last month, Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow, revealed that he broke down crying at the read, as he realized he would no longer portray the character he spent the last 10 years playing. Earlier this year, Harington spoke of the grueling effort it took for everyone to complete the show, saying that the last season "seemed to be designed to break us.”
