J. Cole Explains Why He's Finally Doing Features, Nas Calls Rap a Blood Sport | Everyday Struggle

On Tuesday’s (March 19) episode of #EverydayStruggle, Nadeska, Wayno and DJ Akademiks kick off the show discussing J.Cole’s rare interview with GQ. The trio shares their thoughts on Cole’s praise for Lil Pump, and comment on the North Carolina rapper’s displeasure with the "platinum with no features’ meme. Ak and Wayno also weigh in on Cole’s comments about the Grammys and his 2012 Best New Artist snub. Following this topic, the squad shares their thoughts on Travis Scott and Nas’ recent inter-generational conversation with Playboy. In the convo, Nas reveals he was envious of Travis after he created the 2015 ‘Rodeo’ action figure for his album. Nas also tells La Flame during their convo that he considers the rap game like a “blood sport.’  This leads to Ak and Wayno discussing Nas’ comments and giving their input on the competition of the genre. Later in the episode, the crew answers a fan question about the best artists making music videos at the moment, and close out the show doing another fun game of Over/Under.
