While legendary actor Al Pacino has appeared on television before, he's never had a regular starring role on the small screen. That's set to change in the near future with the Jordan Peele-produced Amazon series The Hunt, which will see the 78-year-old actor play a Nazi hunter in 1977 New York City.

The new series will follow a "diverse band of Nazi hunters living in 1977 New York City." Pacino will lead the crew as they discover "hundreds of high ranking Nazi officials are living among us and conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in the U.S. The eclectic team of hunters will set out on a bloody quest to bring the Nazis to justice and thwart their new genocidal plans." In other words, it sounds intense.

Logan Lerman will also star, and while Peele won't be writing or directing any episodes, it's bound to feature his influence. The David Weil-created show has just entered pre-production and currently doesn't have a premiere date, but it will definitely cause a stir when it debuts on Amazon in the future.

The Hunt isn't the only project on the horizon that Peele will be serving as a producer on; he's also got CBS All Access' Twilight Zone reboot, HBO's Lovecraft County with J.J. Abrams, Amazon's Lorena, AND YouTube Premium's Weird City.
