Netflix Confirms 'Daredevil' Season 3 Is Coming This Year

A 2018 release window for 'Daredevil' season 3 has now been confirmed by Netflix. This is good news for everyone bummed out about Netflix recently confirming the exact opposite for 'Stranger Things.'

Netflix's Ben Affleck-less Daredevil series will return before year's end.

During a recent conference call, Netflix CFO David Wells reportedly confirmed the 2018 release window. "I have got the great pleasure of trying to make people very happy and in the short term we’ve got new seasons coming up the second half of this year of Orange Is the New Black, Ozark, Iron Fist, Daredevil, Narcos, the finale of House of Cards, [and] the follow-up series for Making a Murderer," Wells said, according to Seeking Alpha.

Given the impending release of Iron Fist and other adjacent series, a Daredevil season 3 debut in November or December seems most likely.

Daredevil star Charlie Cox went long last month on what fans can expect with the new batch of episodes. During an hour-long chat with Collider's Steve Weintraub in Las Vegas, Cox said what he's allowed to say. "Some actors like to know the whole story from start to finish before we begin [shooting]," he said. "I personally don't like to do that. I don't like to know anything, so I read the scripts episodically as they come in throughout the season. So, when we get to the final episode and we've been shooting for five or six months, I still don't know how it's gonna end." This approach, he added, allows him to "experience the reading of the scripts in the same way that an audience member will devour the show when it comes out."

In other related Netflix release date news, Stranger Things season 3 will be delayed.
