The Rock Hasn't Talked to Tyrese, Thinks 'Fast' Spinoff Feud 'Was Really One-Sided'

Dwayne Johnson and Tyrese got in a famous social media feud last year when it was announced the Rock would be starring in a Fast & Furious spinoff with Jason Statham, Hobbs & Shaw. While Tyrese felt betrayed by the actor for making a solo move and blamed the Rock's busy schedule for Fast & Furious 9 getting pushed back to a 2020 release date, the Rock said he was simply trying to make money moves.

And it turns out the men are still at odds. During an interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the show's host asked Johnson whether or not he's talked to the singer-actor since their online back-and-forth battle. "The answer is no. No, we haven’t talked at all," answered the Rampage actor.

"That whole thing with Tyrese, it was pretty disappointing because I’d been friends with Tyrese for a very long time," he continued. "I always feel like a beef requires two people to actually jump in it. It was really one-sided, and he had voiced his opinion a lot on social media and apparently, he was going through some stuff too in his personal life, but no, we haven’t talked and I don’t see where we would."

And there's one reason why: "To me, there’s no need to have a conversation." In the meantime, The Rock is moving forward with Hobbs & Shaw. Along with Jason Statham, the film will also star Idris Elba as the villain.

Hobbs & Shaw is slated to arrive in theaters on July 26, 2019.
