Attention science nerds and nostalgia fiends: Bill Nye the Science Guy is visiting Toronto next week and you’ll have a chance to meet with him in person. The iconic television personality is venturing north of the border this month to promote his hit book with the incredibly long-winded title, Everything All At Once: How to Unleash Your Inner Nerd, Tap into Radical Curiosity and Solve Any Problem.

Known for his charismatic delivery and quirky sensibility, the 61-year-old initially launched to fame thanks to the aptly titled, Bill Nye the Science Guy, his popular educational program that aired on PBS from 1993-1999. Since the series finale, Nye has found himself working in the field and contributing to projects like the Mars Exploration Rover. The mechanical engineering major has also made guest spots on The Big Bang Theory and the short-lived reality show, America’s Most Smartest Model.

More recently, you may have spotted Bill leading folks in the March for Science - a non-partisan effort to “celebrate science and the role it plays in everyday lives”. The release of the new book also coincides with Nye’s latest television show, Bill Nye Saves the World, which launched on Netflix earlier this April. Unlike his previous series, the new streaming-only effort is geared towards an older demographic and features special celebrity guests like Karlie Kloss, Joel McHale, and Steve Aoki.

You can catch the science star on August 9 at 7:00PM in the Yorkdale Indigo (3401 Dufferin Street).
