You know you've made it when Saturday Night Live wants you to host and you don't even have anything immediate to promote. A second season of Empire is a long way off, but series star Taraji P. Henson made her SNL hosting debut last night with solid results.

Even after decades in the acting game and quite a few movies to her credit, Henson knows it was the nighttime soap that really put her on, at least with a certain crowd.

“After twenty years in show business, white people finally know who I am!” she said during her monologue

Here are the best sketches of the night:

COOKIE MEETS COOKIE MONSTER

You knew an Empire sketch was coming, but this one was a hell of a curveball, and it's worth it just for three seconds of insane cookie scarfing.

GAME OF THRONES IN SOUTH CENTRAL

1.

What would it be like if Jamie Lannister rode through a Boyz n the Hood-era South Central kingdom called South Centros?

"HOME 2" TRAILER FEAT. NICKI MINAJ, KENDRICK LAMAR AND RICK ROSS

2.

It's not the best movie trailer parody SNL has done, but it did give them an excuse to trot out A LOT of rapper impressions, and surprisingly,  Henson's Nicki Minaj was way better than anything the regular cast members came with.

THE CLINTONS ARE BACK COLD OPEN

3.

Hillary Clinton is a little bit awkward on social media and a classic cast member returns as "Bill Clinton 2: Bigger and Blacker."
