Police in Louisiana say a teacher arrested recently for having a sexual relationship with a minor has apologized for her actions.
According to the New York Daily News, Amber Anderson, 27, copped to sending a then-15-year-old boy nude images, then eventually having sex with him during the summer of 2013. Their relationship was reportedly uncovered by the boy's mother after she went through his phone. The Daily News reports that an affidavit shows that no action was taken until one of the boy's friends told his mother about what happened this month.
Furthermore, the Daily News adds that Anderson was listed as a math teacher at Baton Rouge, La.'s The Christian Life Academy until yesterday. Pastor and school founder Dr. Jere Melilli told WDAM that she will be terminated. In addition, Anderson has been jailed on one charge of carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
