There hasn't been a ton of news about the Captain Marvel movie since its official announcement last October. Now, rumor has it, Carol Danvers a.k.a. Captain Marvel, will appear sooner than we thought—in Avengers: Age of Ultron. The Avengers sequel will hit the big screens in May of this year, three years sooner than the expected release of Captain Marvel in 2018. A cameo by Miss Marvel in Age of Ultron would set the stage for Marvel’s Phase 3, including a whole new cast of characters.
However, the rumor is, well, a rumor so nothing is set in stone but according to Latino Review (which has actually been pretty spot-on with its reports), it's very possible.
