Twelve people were arrested after the NYPD found $2.5 million worth of heroin inside of a Bronx apartment yesterday.

According to the New York Daily News, the sting operation capped off a four-month investigation. The suspects were arrested around 1 p.m. yesterday at the Fordham Heights apartment, where police found a reported 140,000 glassines of heroin.

The Daily News notes that this is the largest seizure the Manhattan North Narcotics Major Case Unit has made from a home-based operation.

In addition, Det. Liam Loughin told the Daily News that the bust came just before the dealers flooded the streets with their product. "We got them right before they sent out all this," he revealed.
