Tuesday night a jury concluded Eddie Ray Routh, the 27-year-old ex-marine, was guilty for the 2013 shooting and killing of Chris Kyle, a U.S. Navy SEAL and author of American Sniper, and one other man.

Kyle and his friend, Chad Littlefield, 35, were killed while on a trip at a shooting range near Stephenville, Texas with Routh on Feb. 2, 2013. Kyle and Littlefield took Routh to the shooting range per the request of Routh's mother, who told them Routh had been having trouble coping with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Routh, who confessed to killing the men, pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. Routh and the defense cited said he suffered from psychotic episodes caused by PTSD. He is being charged with two murder counts, and one of capital murder. He is facing life in prison without parole.
