Warner Bros. and DC Comics have announced that Ezra Miller (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) will play the Flash in both a Justice League movie and his own standalone film. The news came along with a slew of other superhero movie announcements that will take the comic-inspired movies through 2020.
It's also a big deal because Miller identifies as "queer"—he's the first actor cast as a major superhero to do so. Justice League Part One will come out in 2017, with The Flash arriving in 2018. Miller, 22, was also in We Need to Talk About Kevin and Californication.
Warner Bros. confirmed that Jason Momoa will be playing Aquaman as well, plus a new Green Lantern movie in 2020. Basically, if you're sick of superhero films, you're not going to like the next six years.
