Lifetime movies are known for being cheesy and generally all-around terrible, but they're usually harmless. Who's going to feel bad about a ridiculous Jodi Arias biopic? But sometimes, Lifetime crosses the line from guilty pleasure to in really poor taste. Enter The Brittany Murphy story.

As we reported earlier this month, Lifetime will air the a biopic about the late Clueless star that centers around her relationship with her mother as a young actress and then movie star. Fingers crossed somebody plays Ashton Kutcher, whom Murphy dated in 2002 and co-starred with in Just Married. The best part of the trailer, though, is the strangely heartfelt and meant-to-be-haunting cover of Haddaway's "What is Love?"

Lifetime is also working on biopics of other stars who died too soon: Whitney Houston and AaliyahThe Brittany Murphy Story will air September 6 at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
