The woman who mailed letters with ricin to President Barack Obama, New York City's previous mayor, Michael Bloomberg, and Mark Glaze, who used to lead Bloomberg's Mayors Against Illegal Guns group has been sentenced to 18 years in prison.

Shannon Guess Richardson of New Boston, Texas, sent the letters out last May, then ventured to a Shreveport, La. police station to blame her husband. According to USA Today, the letter to President Obama was rather caustic:

None

Richardson, 36, who had small roles in the Vampire Diaries and The Walking Dead, reporedly targeted her husband because he had filed for divorce. Last December, she agreed to a plea deal that will also force her to pay $367,000 in restitution.
