Whether you got everything you wanted on Christmas or not, know that there's a chance more gifts might be on the way. Reuters reports that a plethora of holiday shipments overwhelmed UPS and FedEx this year, delaying the celebrated arrival of millions of packages (i.e. Christmas presents) to the ire of customers.

According to UPS spokeswoman Natalie Black, an unanticipated increase in volume and inclement weather in certain situations led to the delays. UPS said it expected to make 132 million deliveries last week, but Black noted that the figured had "obviously" been exceeded.

Meanwhile, Amazon has offered to place a Band-Aid on a gushing wound by offering refunds and $20 gift cards to the affected.
