Capcom dropped a new tasty breadcrumb of its upcoming free-to-play PlayStation 4 exclusive, Deep Down. Groups of knights battling against huge monsters in the dungeons below an ancient New York.

Yes, that does sound a little weird. The game seems to be a hybrid of the memory time travel that gamers will be familiar with from games like Assassin's Creed and ties it in with randomly generated dungeons and monsters that players will crawl through with friends online.

The story takes play in New York circa 2094 where players will explore the “memories” of certain buildings then exploring those memories and killing dragons at the same time. As well as Dark Souls type stabbing and fire bashing Deep Down has some amazing effects including a vortex of stone. Check out the extended trailer here from the Tokyo Game Show earlier this year.

Deep Down is a PS4 exclusive, free-to-play, and massively multiplayer; how about them buzzwords! More info is in the pipe early in 2014.
