Broadway Show: All My Sons, Dead Accounts

In 2008, two years after her marriage to Tom Cruise, Holmes made her Broadway debut in the revival of Arthur Miller's All My Sons for a limited engagement. In the play, which is set during WWII and questions the ideal of the American Dream, Holmes played Ann Dever. Her character holds the knowledge of her neighbors crimes, and her boyfriend, his son's, suicide because of it.

Holmes earned mixed reviews for her work, where some critics wrote her off, blaming the director (Simon McBurney) for the lack of connection to her character, and others recommended the play once the audience got used to Holmes' speech. However, she certainly drew a crowd to the Theatre District; Anonymous staged a protest against Scientology outside of the theatre.

Unfortunately, her currently running play, Dead Accounts, is about to close due to poor ticket sales.
