Another Affleck brother, another Boston movie. This time, according to Deadline, the brother is Casey Affleck, and the film is based on the story of the real-life Boston Strangler, a murderer who terrorized Boston during the 1960s. Warner Bros. has reportedly just acquired the pitch for the film, which is described as having a similar tone to se7en and Zodiac, from Boston natives Affleck and Chuck Maclean.

Maclean will pen the script, and Affleck may portray one of the detectives working on the case. There's definitely not a shortage of material for the film - the story of the strangler is one of the most intriguing and confusing unsolved crimes in U.S. history. Though a man, Albert DeSalvo, was arrested and convicted for the murders of 13 female Boston-area victims, there are many who believe that more than one murderer was involved, and that DeSalvo was a "pawn" in a bigger, more elaborate cover-up.
