Ryan Keely says: "She's a huge influence and inspiration. She was the first female CEO of a company that was on the New York Stock Exchange. She changed advertising. Her companies came up with slogans like, "I Love New York," "Flick Your Bic," etc. She was the first person to think of painting the outside of an airplane, which was a really revolutionary concept.
She did all of this all of this before feminism was a social movement. She did really good work and got recognized for it and moved up in the ranks without having to make a political statement about it. There's something very beautiful about that, but she took a lot of slack from the feminist organizations. She was misunderstood, but so groundbreaking."
