Today, a mere 364 days after Assassin's Creed 2, Ubisoft releases Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, the third in the action-adventure series. And they've already gone on record talking about the pains they went to to make the game as historically detailed as possible. Though we're not too amped about the idea that the game's lead designer explicitly mentions Wikipedia as an arbiter of truth, we're excited that with ACB Ubi is continuing the tradition of making great games that you can actually learn something from. And we're not talking about actual educational games like Where In The World is Carmen Sandiego, or about the countless strategy games that mind-numbingly recreate battlefield or agricultural conditions of ancient Egypt so that you can most efficiently go insane while setting up irrigation systems. No, we're talking about plain old fun games that just happen to teach you a thing or two. It happens, you know—and we rounded up seven that fit the bill. Tired of being a moron? Play more video games!
