King Fantastic has never been shy of testing out the EDM waters – with the way the dance music scene is moving, they are a hip-hop act that should be applauded for taking those kinds of risks. Especially when they are this rewarding. This week they dropped a special remix EP, taking tracks from their SocioPoliticalPimpTalk release and having producers like Stylust Beats, Vass, 3 Stripes, Different Sleep, and more turning it into Socializing With Pimps. Canada’s Knight Riderz is no stranger to flippin’ rap tracks, this being his third remix of King Fantastic material, and this is a great mesh of rap sensibility with an EDM aesthetic. The track knocks, with basstones twisting and jutting out at all angles, with drums that have a dope bounce. Word from Knight Riderz is that he’s road-tested this version during his sets over the last three-four months, and has gotten nothing but support from crowds all over. MUTHAFUCKIN’ RIGHT!
