Baltimore’s Flash Giordiani wears his emotion on his sleeve, letting it guide his careening, melodic raps and outlandish metaphors. At its best, it leads to songs like 2014 standout “Wedding Day,” a surprisingly catchy balance of absurd humor and honesty made immediate and enjoyable through Flash’s sing-song rapping.
New single “She Gone” serves as a sort of dark sequel to “Wedding Day.” Produced with menacing flair by Nok From the Future, “She Gone” plays like a break up song by Future with a little less lean (though no less Xanax) and a little more Adult Swim. Further proof of Flash’s entertaining talent and unusual sensibilities.
