The progression of Clairo over the past year has been fascinating to watch.
The 19-year-old Boston singer-songwriter built a large following in 2017 by making relatable songs in her bedroom like "Flaming Hot Cheetos" and "Pretty Girl." Most of us were introduced to her through lo-fi recordings, but she's always been upfront about her ambitions to grow past that. In April, she told us, "A lot of my songs are just demos to me, so I’m really excited to put out my EP and show the world what else I have in store."
Our first taste of Clairo's more polished sound came by way of "4EVER" and now she's back with another addictive pop song through a collaboration with SG Lewis called "Better." Over a danceable groove from Lewis, Clairo delivers one of her best vocal performances yet. Hear it below.
